State Senate Introduces Education Plan: Sebelius MIA

Today the Kansas Senate introduced a plan that would increase funding by $660 million. The plan is the work of Senate Republicans, but enjoys bi-partisan support.

Both the Kansas House and Senate leadership have developed new education plans, Governor Kathleen Sebelius has still not proposed a plan for Kansas school funding.

Since making education funding a major part of her 2002 run for Governor Sebelius has failed to even propose a budget for education in two of her three years in office.
